Our Calling
by Albert Watson

Christian church rejoice be glad,
We're not called to cruel jihad
But to joy and peace, to acts of love.
Power not from sword but gentle dove.
Not to shout rave and rant,
Nor to repetitious chant.
But with holy hands held high,
Exalt the Son of God our joy.
No strapped on bombs no suicide,
We're trusting in the Christ who died.
We have no fear of judgement day
Our faith in Christ takes sin away.
There is no call to maim and kill,
Just seek to do the Fathers will.
To share with all salvations plan,
The death of Christ for every man.
