Purest Love
by LouAnne Valencia

Oh purest love of depth divine,
fueled by passion for mankind.

Oh purest love the cross did flame,
a crown of thorns, His death of shame.

Crucify! Crucify! The crowd proclaimed.
'Father, forgive them' your only refrain.

Oh purest love why did thou endure such pain?

The souls of men, My death in exchange.

But oh, what a bright morn?
the third day did bring,

Oh death, Oh death, where is thy sting?
You rose from the dead Thy praises we sing.

Oh purest love eternal flame,
every knee shall bow and confess Thy name.
