The Lonely Places
by Albert Watson

After the crowds, a lonely place,
Jesus with Father had face to face.
On bended knee, He would pray,
What's in Heaven for Earth today?

A lonely place Gethsemane,
'Peter, could you watch with me?'
This is where the pain began,
There really was no other plan.

'My God, my God, where can he be?'
A cry called out from Calvary.
Many folk where standing by,
For him a lonely place to die.

All mankind a choice to make,
Outstretched arms on torture stake.
Better choose amazing grace,
For Hell my friend's a lonely place.
