Beautiful Gait
by Albert Watson

I'm walking, jumping and leaping about,
Just praising God with a regular shout.
You wonder why this glorious bliss,
Come near my friend and listen to this.

This afternoon a little before three,
I sat at the temple my usual plea
asking alms from all who pass by,
hang on a second, I think I might cry.

First of my history I think I should tell,
you'll understand why I jump and yell.
I share with you my physical state,
I've never walked from birth to this date.

Now back to the story I want to relate,
Each day they put me by beautiful gate.
Two men came up, I think it quite funny,
Sorry my friend we haven't any money.

To correct the words that I was told,
Sorry we haven't any silver or gold,
But what we do have is given to you
In Jesus name. My legs did renew.

Peter said take hold of my hand.
on your feet I'll help you to stand.
I suddenly felt a tingling flow,
from top of head, to end of big toe.

So who's Jesus you may want to know,
who gave me the power to get up and go
Peter he said, the Jews killed this man,
but even that was part of Gods plan.

How are you and what's your state,
yes you to whom this story I relate.
Internal conflict crippled within
Turn to Christ a new life begin
