Bands of Love by edward potts The Lord of righteousness sitting in heaven above, Holds on the this world with bands made of love, One band is a cros made from a tree, One band is a tomb from which man is free. One band is His mercy showered down from above, One band is His Son who gave His life out of love, One band is the Spirit we have dwelling within, One band is the blood that cleansed us from sin. These bands grow stronger with each passing day, When we kneel at the cross and to heaven we pray, When troubles surround us and everything goes wrong, You just remember these bands God's love is so strong. They'll never be broken these bands stained with blood. Though satan comes in like the winds and a flood, For Jesus did weld them as He hung on that tree, Oh these bands of love holds peace and safety for me. In these bands of love I place all my trust, They're not made of steel time can never cause rust, These bands of forgiveness from the heavenly Father to me, Will bind us together and the welder I'll see. |
