Stand Your Ground

When it feels as if you are lost and alone,
without a good friend you can call your own -
stand.

When you're tired and drained at the end of the day,
or you're worried the devil might lead you astray -
stand.

If you've lost your job and you can't pay the bills,
then do not resort to liquor or pills -
stand.

Stand your ground and do not move back,
keep your eyes on the Christ and stay on track.
Do not be dismayed when evil days come,
but stand your ground and do not succumb.

Put on and wear the full armor of God
if you want protection against Satan's darts,
and after you've done all you possibly could -
stand,
and God will work all things for your good.
