The Treasure of Tears

How wonderful is Your compassion,
that You would list my tears
how tender is Your concern
that You've numbered all my fears.

My tears are like a treasure,
to You ~ when they fall
for when I'm in need of comfort
it is on Your name that I call.

You know of my afflictions,
You've seen my weariness
yet, You have given me strength
and have lighten the dreariness.

And though I have wandered,
my soul keeps coming back to You
and it is because of Your love
that my tears to You get through.

How wonderful it is,
that You have seen all my fears
How tender You are,
for gathering up all my tears.

Psalm 56:8

"You number my wanderings;
put my tears into Your bottle;
are they not in Your book?"
