In The Depths of My Soul

In the depths of my soul, I've had a longing
A search that was fruitless I've uncovered nothing
My heart has wandered and I've become lost
I cry to My Savior who died for me on the cross

In the depths of my soul, I've ached and I've hurt
Broken in shambles my knees have hit the dirt
I've failed my family and I've failed my Lord
I cry out to Jesus heal my heart and mend my soul

In the depths of my soul, I've yearned for so much more
Yelling, kicking, screaming all behind a closed door
What more can I do I am by myself and feel so alone
Jesus, oh my Savior Jesus, help lead me back home

In the depths of my soul, I've waited and hope a long time
So many years without reaching for God, the blame is all mine
So I opened a bible and in Fellowship found strength
I pray I'm not to late, to have healing I may go a great length

In the depths of my soul, only the Savior can heal
His mercy, His grace abundant in Him I am sealed
I pray for his intervention, His Guidance above all
Oh Lord catch me and mend me, Lord don't let me fall
