A New Song of Praise by tisha todd In God's book it is written, Psalms 40 verse 3, a new song He's given to you and to me It's a new song of praise, that men see and men fear, He echoes it softly, His presence is near. Out of a pit to a new place of praise He's ended my sorrows He who is the Ancient of Days. He planted my feet, I press toward the mark Now I sing a new song, I have a new heart. He's destined me for such a time as this, I wondered many times, what in my life could I give How could I thank Him for all He has done Then He whispered so softly, I gave you a new song. It's a song that sings of heaven Not of things that do corrupt Because the song is so much more Than the human thing called love. It transcends above all mention Heaven bows when I sing His name He's the King of King of glory and with a new song I will sing. Yes, I'm destined for this season, Loved the path that I have trod So thankful for the day I found A new song, a new life, the true God. |
