To Whom Do you Cry?
by Danette Kettwich

To Whom Do You Cry?

For whom do you cry to
When the dark is full of fright?
For whom do you reach for
When there is no hope in sight?

You say God is naught,
Religion's just a crutch
An illusion empty minded
Find the only thing to clutch.

To whom will you run to
When everyone has turned away?
When you have lost it all
Dark consumes your day.

To whom do you call to
As you scream God's name in vain?
Do you expect him to listen?
To the air you do proclaim.

What do you use to fill
The void within your heart?
The aching gnawing feeling
That just won't depart.

For whom do you cry to
When dark is full of fright?
I cry out to my Savior
He fills my life with light.
