Prayer Answered God's Way

Lord, I want to walk where angels walk
My desperation cried
He took from me that hopeless thought
He held me and replied;

"I placed you just where you should be
Precious child of mine
I have a world still for you to see
It is not your time."

I desired to go to an ancient land
Just my God and me
He took me tenderly by the hand
And led me to the sea

He said "Look, before time began,
This is what I made"
I stood beside God in the sand
Watching ocean waves.

I wanted to go to a Holy land
God led me to a church
Worshippers like an angelic band
In Spirit and in works.

I wanted to see where saints had been
God led me to a door
Of an old church now abandoned
Where praise was heard no more.

I wanted to see where battles were fought
God led me to a grave
There etched, "The word of God He taught,
He fought for souls to save".

I said I want to go and reach the lost
I found myself at home
"Teach them about My blood's cost,
Lead them to My throne.

God listens to every request I ask
He answers when I pray
He may not give me a mighty task
He guides me in His way.
