Holy Ground ~ Holy Grounded

On Holy ground, I wish to stand
Away from tides and sinking sand.
One small grain within God's hand
I long for Christ's Promised land.
~To be Holy Grounded

To be where Moses prayed and stood;
On Holy ground if I could.
The Lord speaking and understood,
Burning bush; un-burning wood.
~Moses; Holy Grounded

To be with Joshua hand in hand,
Walking into the Promised Land.
Dusty feet in the sand
Consecrated by God's demand.
~Joshua; Holy Grounded

To watch as David stood alone,
Before a giant with sling and stone.
Claiming God as his own,
He faithfully took the throne.

To hear him sing an evening song;
Lord's presence in him strong.
To the Lord he did belong,
Even when his choice was wrong.
~David; Holy Grounded

On Holy ground I long to feel,
Holy presence deep and real.
I know God hears each appeal;
For my sins; His blood conceal.
~I am Holy Grounded
