Military Memorial by Patricia Joan Polhans God bless the families of those we miss, Bless lives of those lost to terrorists. May all receive honor and trustworthy praise While in service for freedom that took them away! May God watch o'er them with his loving hand While protecting our soldiers in foreign lands. Bring them safely home to their families And may war never haunt their memories. Some lost their lives while others were maimed When mankind were hunted down like game. Some paid the price of freedom that day, Taking the lives of many loved ones away. We pray God's release for those in captivity As they fight for our freedom with dignity. Blood was shed through their suffering and pain While freedom and liberty were regained. In the face of rage they had strength to stand From the hands of terrorists that took command. Our hearts were shattered, our lives destroyed The day that it took our military boys. If only the battle could've been won 'Thout taking the lives of those so young. As our hearts were broken and saddened that day The precious price for freedom came our way! John 11:26-27 "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall NEVER die..." |
