Battle against the Flesh

Merely existing within this shell of a man
The essentialness of You, I don't really understand.

This stubborn heart knows what it needs
But I still travel where my obstinate flesh leads

Give me more power than this feeble flesh
Power from who created my very first breath.

Break me free of the weaknesses in me
Show me Your mercy and a life with you will be.

Make this frail flesh, Lord make it understand
Lord, I need help from Your grace giving hand.

My spirit is so willing to go along Your way
Guide me to find the strength to do Your will today.
