My Angel!

Today I've thought about
My one and only Mother.
And I miss her more today,
More than any other.
She filled my heart with joys,
Filled my life with gentle kisses.
And how I'd love to have these things,
That she gave that were so blessed.

I miss my angel singing
To me in bed at night
As she caressed my forehead
All dressed there in white.
She just knew how to comfort
When my eyes were wet with tears
And mem'ries of my angel
Will live on in my heart for years.

She taught me all her caring ways
Her traits on me, bestowed,
My gracious angel of mercy
That helped me mature and grow.
And as I grew into a young women
She taught me many new things.
She 'as the compass there to guide me
All along my life's pathway.

All the angel's eyes in heaven
Are 'round about her now
Giving songs of inspiration
Meant for me somehow,
I miss my Mother dearly
And all her songs she sang
For she 'as my angel here on earth
And I'll cherish her every day

Someday, I'll soon be with her
Through all eternity,
And once again my angel
Will sing her songs of love to me.
