People Of The Light

He has chosen, us we are now in Him.
Opened our eyes that were so dim.
Removed the shroud darker than night
And from the cross came streaming light.

A people redeemed, children of light,
More than a candle burning bright.
Because of all that Christ has done
Our light should shine like the mid-day sun.

Now people of the light and of the day,
Let goodness righteousness and truth display.
Into the darkness of this crooked generation.
Shine like stars shed light across this nation

Let us no more sing of this little light of mine
Mega Watt's of power reveal the Christ divine
A search light for the Saviour is what we need to be.
Destroying Satan's power, illumine Christ of Calvary
