Just By Chance by Kathleen Higham Nothing is ever just by chance That an old friend I would see Two hearts collide with memories As she shares her thoughts with me. Nothing is ever just by chance I hear her passion, her sorrow A Mother holding on to life A daughter praying for tomorrow. Nothing is ever just by chance When tender words are spoken An amazing family I visualize Knowing their hearts will be broken. Nothing is ever just by chance Writing of this encounter, Divine Words from God will comfort her As always He gives a sign. Nothing is ever just by chance Not one day will pass by Thoughts of Mother embrace me Then I breathe a heavy sigh. Nothing is ever just by chance He plans it from the start His words flow to the paper Words from this burdened heart. Nothing is ever just by chance I accept this gift He will give Touching souls as tears fall down This is the life I live. Nothing is ever just by chance One day we all shall meet Where the Mothers gather joyfully In glory at Jesus' feet. |
