Was it? by iAn Stephens Was it a wisp of air That my ear caressed Or an angels breath That me blessed It told of good things Soon to come And felt like angels wings Softer than butterflies to some I heard it in my heart The softest most gentle refrain Twas like the utmost finest art Taking away all my pain I felt it in my soul Like a refreshing wave of love Filling my body's aching hole Straight from heaven up above The cavity in the shape of a cross That so often ached and pained Which hurt so deeply when I was at a total loss Filled only by the death of Jesus as God had so lovingly ordained |
