LOVING VISION
by iAn Stephens

Bigotry and bias my life waylaid
Help me to see all as You do I prayed
The Lord wiped the judgmental scales from my eyes
Immediately and clearly, I saw the truth in others with great surprise

All I now see are loved by me
No judging decision will there be
What a thought Lord what a thought
If all could see like this without being taught

The world would take its rightful shape
Out from under Satan's dreadful cape
Drugs and war and rape and all that stuff
Would simply vanish into a forgotten trough

All now depends on how I things see
Do I love others like I love me
Is my vision cloudy and dim
Viewing others almost as sin

Back to the scales Lord, back to the scales
Removed from me by those dreadful nails
Thank You Jesus for the provision
Of Your gift of Loving Vision
