The Walls that Love Built

The walls that love has built
around my wounded heart
has sheltered all my bitterness
my soul you've torn apart.

The memories of our perfect love
now shattered by deceit
the many nights I tossed and turned
I cried myself to sleep.

I question now your motives
of the love you once professed
Did you truly feel that way?
or were you just obsessed?

The hidden lies within you
revealed to me one night
for all that's done in secret
the Lord will bring to light.

My heart that once belonged to you
no longer do you hold
I've met a man named JESUS
The lover of my soul.

The walls that love has built
has crumbled to the ground,
I never thought I'd love again
My True Love now I've found.
