Mary's House of Bread by Kathleen Higham There is a place of solace In Mary's House of Bread Those who need to know Him Let them enter and be fed. Servants come to work here Though her walls be stained Rain washes an old cement floor To cleanse a heart so pained. The Father comes to greet them As they pass through her door The Lord knows about Christmas So He blesses Mary's store. He can hear a falling tear And embrace a body broken Know your prayer perfectly Before it is even spoken. Some may wander aimlessly As they cry out to be whole He gathers all the wounded Then quiets a troubled soul. So come all who are weary Listen to what God has said Come, share My peace and joy In Mary's House of Bread. |
