Perfect Agreement

When will You come Lord?
Every Christian wants to know
Even those with abundant life
Would question the time to go.

When will You come Lord?
Some wallow in deep despair
Others live in contentment
Believing that God is there.

When will You come Lord?
Thousands of years have passed
The events of the world are critical
How much longer can we last?

When will You come Lord?
So many hearts are grieved
Waiting for a simple sign
Of the time they first believed.

When will You come Lord?
Countless prayers lay at Your feet
Seeing the tears fall in the night
Your children pine to be complete.

When will You come Lord?
For nothing quenches the need
As we gather in faithfulness
In prayer we have agreed.

When will You come Lord?
There is hope at the mercy seat
When souls will gather joyfully
In perfect agreement we will meet.
