A Time and Season for All Things

There is a time for everything which happens on the earth;
a reason; season for all things affecting us from birth.

We're born one day to die another,
sow in spring and reap in summer;
we kill and heal; build and tear down;
laugh out loud and dance around.

We cry and mourn when sad and sorrowed,
returning things which we have borrowed;
embrace each other and refrain;
searching; giving up again.

Things we keep or throw away -
some words we may or dare not say;
we tear and mend and love and hate,
make war and peace - this is our fate.
