Just For You
by Laynie Lingle

I've got tissues for your issues.
I've got hands to dry your tears.
I've got all those silly stories,
That we've been through in our years.

I just wish that you could realize,
That you never are alone.
Even when you claim to be.
Even when there's no one home.

But these things you feel have value,
When I think of love and life.
I remember why I'm living,
Why I deal with pain and strife.

And I wonder how you do it,
Being lost and so alone,
With the tears I know you cry at night,
It's a helpless seed you've sown.

Look, I hope you know I love you true,
My intentions, don't misunderstand.
But I just want you to trust me dear,
Won't you please take my hand??

For how can I lift you away
From the loneliness you feel,
If I can't even reach you
My anguish cannot be concealed.

I know that you may not like this
Once I reach this story's end,
But I hope you know I love you
And that you are my best friend.

Such a delicate situation
I am in right here and now,
And what I really want to do
Is pass this on somehow.

There is something in my making,
Something deep within my bones
That tells me we are not correct
When feeling so alone.

I know that up above us
Is a father reigning high.
I know he loves you deeply
Yeah he loves you more than I.

More than your family ever could,
He keeps you safe at night.
Gives you sunrise in the morning
When he brightens up our sky.

I can't take this any longer.
I've been holding so much back
That I feel the need to thank the Lord
For his love, though I do lack.

No one has perfection
Though some people think they do.
The only truly perfect soul?
He died for me and you!!

And now he reigns in heav'n above
Upon his mighty throne
And he waits until the time is right
To take his people home.

I may be one of the few
To tell you what I know,
And it's possible you don't believe
In heaven's perfect glow.

But I hope and pray you see my point
As time continues on.
For sooner or later we all die
But I will not be gone.

I'll live again, walk streets of gold
Hear all the angels sing,
And I can only hope to see you there,
With your own set of wings?
