A Man and His Crown
by Mark Rome © 2007

If at times you feel lonely, confused or a bit upside down.
Stop and think for a moment about a man and His crown.

Now this crown, that I picture jewels or gold are not there.
It's merely some thorns twisted together, on His head, through His hair.

Now for most kings to wear a crown like that would be absurd.
But my king, He wore it proudly, fulfilling God's word.

So if you still feel sad or even alone.
Remember your king didn't sit on a throne.

That would have been too easy for Him,to sit up on high.
Instead, our king was nailed to a cross and hung there to die.

What a strange thought to think that God's son could be killed.
He gave Himself, for our sins, that the prophecies be fulfilled.

But, He didn't die! He arose in three days!
Making fools of the disbelievers in so many ways.

Now I don't think that you could still be sad,so rejoice, sing out loud!
For our king is seated at the right hand of power and is comming,on a cloud.
