The Humble Heart by Kathleen Higham One who possesses a humble heart Will swim in the sea of Grace Certainly not of the world, but Confident in that Holy place. A life of prayerlessness now gone When God's will lights the way And friendship with the evil one Shall no longer rule the day. Pouring out His endless love Powerful as a roaring waterfall Spiraling downward to the earth In the mist, His Spirit will call. It is not my will, but His will Considering prayers that are amiss Removing worldliness from a soul Then the whisper of His kiss. As His Grace surrounds us Comes a yearning desire to serve A Grace that fills an empty shell This gift we do not deserve. Oh it can never be enough When the flesh crawls with sin The worldly world betrays us As prayers amiss crash in. But God alone reveals this In the sea our sins drowned Remember the Cross, the Savior Where the humble heart is found. |
