CONFESSIONS

We drift so far away when we sin
Precious Saviour I reach for Your hand again
Forgive us when we forget Your way
For letting the world lead our hearts astray

We come before You on bended knee
Pouring out our hearts to thee
We confess the things we have done wrong
For letting the world string us along

The things we see on television
Try to cloud our inner vision
They lead the mind to think it is ok
To think theirs is the right way

But soon we find it is false advertising
Leading our hearts to compromising
Your teachings of life we need to value
That leads to repentance and love for You

Lord help us to keep our minds clear
To love and serve You, staying ever near
To spend more time with You in mind
Drawing ever nearer, Your will to find

Gone will be the fleeting happiness
Of sin thought about in the darkness
There is wondrous joy in serving our Saviour
Walking each day in His love and favour

Come take His precious nail scarred hand
Let Him lead you from this strange land
He will comfort you and lead and guide
And stay forever more by your side
