Nothing

Dark Waters raged around me
for so many years
Now here I stand, I see the light
my eyes filled with tears
What have I done to deserve this wonderfull Grace
that was bestowed upon me
This blood that was caused to flow so brutally
now washing me clean so gently
What have I done to deserve this Everlasting Life
that now flows through my veins
This life that gives me the right to be with You
for all the years in eternity that remains
What have I done to deserve this Forgiveness
for everything I have ever done
For everything I'll ever do - everything I did against You
After all of that You still said "come"
What did I do to deserve this Love
A love that is big enough to cover everything
A love that is pure and true
and now causes my heart to sing.
I want answers, I need to understand
what did I do, how did I earn this right
I want to know, please Lord tell me now
What did I do - my heart was as black as the night
Then I hear His voice: "there is nothing you did or could do
It was not you who chose but I chose you"
