The Rebirth of My Spirit by Preston Morse © 2009 I was entrenched in death of this world. Broken and down in the pit. Then Your scrolls were unfurled. Bearing You witness as my candle was lit. Living waters did spring forth from Your well. Reinvigorating these dried up bones. Having fossilized in the depths of hell. Where I did hear the dark earthen groans. Silencing all conceptions of fear. Breaking the chains that were holding me down. Bringing me closer so that I could hear. Your living Word and behold Your crown. My life anew You have constructed. Taking my soul through Your resurrection. Your merciful grace my heart has inducted. Partaking of it as a sweet confection. |
