I Cost TOO Much by Tameka Newkirk © 2009 I was invited to a party where ungodly things would appear, I replied, I cost too much to be caught in here! I was offered some drugs to help calm my nerves, I replied, I cost too much, to be caught in reserve! I was offered some BIG money to tell a little lie. I replied, I cost too much, how much of it would I see if I die? I was offered a job if I would let down my guard, I replied, I cost too much, to be playing in the yard! I was offered many material things, if I would denounce the name of Christ, I replied, I cost too much, to curse my God, who paid the ultimate price! So when you're asked to slip into a little sin, Tell them, I cost too much, and I've got the greater within! |
