In Everything, Give Thanks

In everything, give thanks,
to God, our Father in Heaven
in Jesus name, give praise
for all that we have been given.

In everything, give thanks,
for all the good things we own
for the temporal needs we have
for all things under His throne.

In everything, give thanks,
for all of our spiritual blessings
for the Word, the Truth, the Light
for the forgiveness in confessing.

In everything, give thanks,
for all of the mercy He's given
for grace, election, redemption
for the adoption of the forgiven.

In everything, give thanks,
for all of the adversities of life
for peace, joy, and comfort
for renewal from daily strife.

In everything, give thanks,
for this is God's will for you
in Jesus name, give praise
and His love will see you through!
