His Way Out by Uriah Green © 2008 Anger filled his heart, The pain he couldn't bear. The tears began to fall, Eyes on the wall in a blurry stare. Thunder rolled within his soul, Lightning flashed deep in his eyes. The memories twirled within his mind, But uses a smile as his disguise. To scream would not do justice, To release what he feels inside. Knowing that every day that passes, Makes it that much harder to hide. He wanted to run away from his problems, These things he cannot bear. Three thousand miles later, It's as if they followed him there. "What am I supposed to do?!" He thought in everyday that passed. Memories fade and time heals pain, "How long is this supposed to last?" He couldn't eat, he couldn't sleep. He felt so empty inside. Alone in the world, felt that no one cared, With thoughts of Suicide. Time went on, he lost his mind. He knew there was no turning back. In an empty room, tears fell down. He grabbed what he bought out of the paper sack. He wrote a note, "I couldn't take the pain." And sat it where it could be seen. He knew this was right... there was nothing else, That could change how things have been. He couldn't stand who he was, He knew he couldn't run. "Lord forgive me for my sins, I have to do this... Here I come." He held it tight and walked to the mirror, To take a last look at the hurt in his eyes. He turned his back, it had to be done... Bible in hand ....He was baptized.... |
