She Makes Dreams Come True by Kathleen Higham I was blessed with a brother He was a gentle hearted child An absolute joy to everyone His ways were meek and mild. He was loved, so very loved Wherever my brother would go Smiles always followed For how were we to know? That he would go to heaven I am thinking my Auntie knew When she gave to him a horse Making all his dreams come true. Having only this photograph Of a beautiful little boy Sitting on a magnificent horse I can only imagine his joy. Today I was blessed once again Watching my doctor, I was thrilled Her face completely determined Her stance, regal and skilled. She claims she's not an athlete Oh, I believe she is far more Maybe a tiny woman, but On her horse she will soar. She makes dreams come true On the edge of life she'll stand So masterful is her Godly gift An infant cradled in her hand. I find her to be courageous In all that she will do, whether Riding her horse, or birthing a child She makes dreams come true. |
