My Vision of Heaven
by Carl McKever Jr © 2009

As I lay in the meadows,
Looking towards the sun.
I close my eyes and think on God's goodness
And all that He has done.

The blood that runs warm in my veins
He's made a way out of no way
His victory and power, I have gained
He blessed me to see this day.

He has given me a clear mind
To know right from wrong
When I'm deep down in my valley.
In my mouth, He puts a new song.

Then I imagine myself
Walking on streets of gold;
Seeing Jesus face to face
As the Book of Life unfolds.

Walking up to His throne
As He calls my name;
Bowing at His feet
To worship His Holy Name.

I see the pearly gates
And the heavenly crown too.
He says "Well Done" to me
And I tell Him "Thank You"

He gives me a set of wings
And shows me my mansion
I opened the doors to it
And behold a great attraction.

This mansion was not built by hands,
Buy by God's glory.
This vision that I had
Is truly not a story.

This place is called Heaven, God's kingdom.
