the lord is by Terry Rutledge © 2008 The lord is my savior. He saves me so I can live through eternity. I'll walk the streets paved with gold. I'll live forever and not grow old. The lord is my shepherd. I follow close so I'll receive the Holy Ghost. I'll walk in the light and never trip. I'll walk with him on the narrow strip. The lord is my friend and that's not all. He'll catch me fast if I fall. He's forgiven all my faults and sin. I'm making this rhyme because of him. The lord is my diploma and degree. He knows the secret parts of me. I lay my problems at his feet. I feel my life is now complete. The lord is my confidant and best friend. On his wisdom I'll depend. If I ask I will receive all I have to do is believe. The lord's my redeemer he makes me clean. On his word and faithfulness i will lean. He's always warning me of wrong. He's my rock all day long. |
