The Jigsaw Puzzle by Linda T Reich A card table set up In the center of the room On it, a jigsaw puzzle resting We're getting ready to start it soon. Mom takes a seat And then opens up the box Emptying all the puzzle pieces Onto the card table top. Turning over each gray piece Revealing all the colors Starting with the border pieces first Ignoring all the others. One by one the pieces fit The picture starts to emerge Piece by piece they fall into place Until the words "it's finished" are heard. Some days are like gray puzzle pieces We don't know how they fit in But with a little work and patience We see that God may have a plan. Each tribulation we go through We may not understand We cannot always see That God leads by His loving hand. But when all the pieces fall into place We can start to understand The beauty and the kindness Of our faithful God's perfect plan. |
