A Special Dad

A dad is someone
Who mows the lawn;
Who takes out the trash
And who loves the mom.

A dad is someone
Who plays basketball;
Who plants a garden
And harvests it in the fall.

A dad is someone
Who sweeps the floor;
Who helps clean the bathroom
And so much more.

A dad is someone
Who enjoys a good book;
Who likes to go fishing
To catch a "big one" on the hook.

A dad is someone
Who fixes a lot of things;
Who helps his neighbors
To see the joy it brings.

A dad is someone
Who works hard everyday;
Who preaches his heart out
Almost every Sunday.

A dad is someone
Who reads his Bible each day;
Who follows God's will
And who takes time to pray.

A dad is someone
Who teaches others by his life;
Who's an example to his children
And to his dear wife.

A dad is someone
Who keeps fit and trim;
I know all these things,
Because I'm married to him.
