The Creation Story

The creation story
Reveals His glory;
The glory of the One
Who caused the day to dawn.
To the deathliest night
He said,"let there be light"
And in His awesome presence
There came into existence
What was never before
So the angels sang and adored.

I'll tell the creation story
Though many say it's history
But history is His story
The story of Him who is holy.
He made the sky, with birds brisk and fair;
Harbingers of peace, His praise to declare.
He made the land, with plants having ability
To produce fruits and flowers of beauty.
He made the sea, filled it with fishes
And riches that men would relish.

The Architect of the universe;
God so wonderful and wise
He made the heavenly bodies bright
The sun to govern day,moon and stars the night.
He made mammals and reptiles of all kinds
Each their mates to find.
The Fountain of love and life;
He made man with his wife.
And being so gracious and good,
Gave grass and grain for food.

In His image made He man
And called his name "Adam"
He blessed man, giving him authority
To rule the earth with dignity.
The Prince of power and peace;
At all His works was well pleased
In six days, made the whole wide world
By the power of His infallible Word
On the seventh day rested the God of creation story
Who made all things for His pleasure and glory.
