His Call by Kathleen Higham Work, read, study, write, pray There seems to be no time today Yet a nagging persistant thought Something I have simply forgot. God has surely called on me And I was just to busy to see Having held my God at bay But He whispered to me anyway. Work, read, study, write, pray My time is precious, I might say Someone needs to hear His voice Always it is offered, the choice. Maybe God was pushed aside Procrastinated as my heart denied Then at last recognized each sign Not knowing of a meeting, Divine. Work, read, study, write, pray Seeking only Him come what may His call becomes the ultimate goal He brings to me a wounded soul. When I choose to hear His Word A most amazing moment occured A young woman wipes away a tear Feeling the Lord draw her near. Work, read, study, write, pray Never shall I forget this day A wooden carving etched in love A hug sent down from God above. The meeting certainly not by chance Our God plans every circumstance Work, read, study, write, pray We shall meet again someday. |
