Let the Earth Proclaim! by Danette Kettwich Let the earth loudly proclaim Let its praise exalt God's name Let the stones willingly rejoice For we have forsaken our voice. Let the humble mountains bow For we have now forgotten how. Let creation display respect God's worship we now reject. The red horizon echoes its cry For we no longer watch the sky. We pray oh God our country bless As we dwell in unrighteousness. If only from our mistakes we'd learn And then humbly to God we turn He will hear and bless our land Against the gale we will stand. Isaiah 9:17 Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks vileness. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. Psalm 66:4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name." Selah Psalm 69:34 Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and all that move in them. Psalm 148:7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths. Luke '19'.39-41 (King James Version) 3 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. "And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out. "And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it. Jeremiah 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God before he brings the darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills. You hope for light, but he will turn it to thick darkness and change it to deep gloom. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Psalm 19 For the director of music. A psalm of David. 1. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. 'Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. 3 There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. 4. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. |
