Let me Praise You
by Danette Kettwich

When the day has been rough
When the chaos has been enough
All I want to do is to hide.
Not letting anyone inside.
The last thing I want to do
Is raise this troubled heart to do

Lord, give me a heart to praise You
Even when I don't want to
Raise this feeble voice to You.
Let me Praise You.

When I have done wrong
My heart is far-away from song
When my body's worn
And when my spirit's torn
The last thing I want to do
Is lift wayward heart to You.

Lord, give me a heart to praise You
Even when I don't want to
Raise this broken heart to You
Let me praise You.

Let me give thanks to you always
As you bring forth all my days
Let me lift my voice and sing
Let it be a pure offering
Let it be what I want to do-
Jesus, I lift my praise to You.

Lord. give me a heart to praise You
Even when I don't want to
Raise my praises up to You
Let me praise You.

Lord let me lament when I am down
For you will raise me from the ground.
Let me sing when I am blessed,
In sadness and in happiness;
Let me praise You.
