Our Final Resting Place
by Deborah Smith Plemmons

When loved ones die in the Lord,
We will see them again some day.
For God has promised in His Word,
We'll find rest, if we've gone His way.

For in heaven there is no more pain;
We leave our earthly bodies behind.
For to live is Christ, but to die is gain;
A new home in Heaven we will find.

To be absent from this 'ole body,
Is to be present with the Lord.
Heaven is a home for everybody,
Who have trusted in God's Word.

For what is your life anyway?
It is a vapor that appears for a time,
Then it quickly vanishes away.
May heaven be your home, the sublime.
