A Mother's Prayer

Lord, help me to love the children You gave me;
As You would have it: unconditionally.
Lord, help me to realize that children are an heritage;
May I show them to be like You, whatever age.
Lord, help me to teach them day and night,
The difference between wrong and right.
Lord, help me to know when to discipline;
That I may, their hearts for You, win.
Lord, help me, as they grow, to stand back and see,
The way You mold and make them accordingly.
Lord, help me to remember when children leave home,
That neither I nor the children are ever alone.
Lord, help me to follow in all Your ways,
That my children may call me blessed some day.
