The First Look

We're told, our bodies in heaven will be glorified, perfect in every way,
That they will never have problems, being prepared for an eternal stay.
With minds that'll always be alert, as we praise Jesus Christ, The King,
Our voices giving honor and glory unto Him, as we gather around and sing.

I believe we'll need these bodies as our eyes feast upon heaven's sight,
With all the splendor and beauty surrounding Jesus, The Eternal Light.
As we behold this scene, likely it's more than today's heart can endure,
This first time, as we meet our Savior, in a setting that's perfectly pure.

Most every day we are faced with disappointments in this life we live,
Receiving, at times, much less from people, compared to what we give.
However, we can rest assured, that heaven will be disappointment free,
We're told by it's Preparer, that it's a place of complete tranquillity.

Then remember this, as we're facing problems and suffering with pain,
That if Jesus is our Savior, someday, we will never face these again.
For we will be with Him in heaven where problems will not exist anymore,
Having glorified bodies and getting that first look at heaven's shore.
