MOVING ON

Oh, to be filled with The Holy Spirit
Ignites a Fire in my Soul
When I think of all the past junk
No God, No Fire in the days of old

I wouldn't think twice to lie to you
In my mind, I twisted it to be right
Talk behind your back, I would do that, too
Yet I never had a sleepless night

I was conniving, evil and truly mean
As long as I had my drink, I didn't care
I always wanted the neighbor's yard, it was green
When I got it, didn't care for it; it became bare

And barren, like my insides became
No real reason to get up and live
Now I have been SAVED, I am not the same
I am shiny and brand new, to love and to give!
