Mustered Cede
by Gabriel Fearing

Wrapped to my waist
Rapped by waste
In a knot of mist
It will not be missed

A feat to wade
My feet are weighed
Err through my gait
Heir to your gate

Your arms stretched taut
By your harms I'm taught
Nailed to the bough
Kneeled down, I bow

I'm your bard, I'm your band
If I'm barred, if I'm banned
I will praise you aloud
He prays for me to be allowed

Good mustard seed laid
Evil mustered cede; lade
Pleas to raise my days
Please, too, raze my daze

Making you my only turn
Make in me your holy tern
Aisle open 'fore your altar
I'll open up for you to alter

You rowed with me as my oar
You rode with me on roads of ore
I trust the tide to wash my prints
Trussed and tied up with my Prince
