Living In Christ

The Bible says if I be in Christ,
I am become a new creature.
Old things are gone; all things made new.
Christ has altered my hopeless future.

I am become a new creature,
to walk after the things of God.
I will be holy, righteous, and kind,
By walking in the paths He's trod.

I no longer live in the old man,
Who lied, showed wrath, and was angry.
I've been renewed by the Son of God;
Now, I'll show forgiveness, love, and mercy.

In order to live in Christ effectively,
I must crucify self each day.
I'll be stengthened and made humble,
By drawing from the Spirit when I pray.
