Set in Stone
by Ronald Bingham

Where will you be when your name is set in stone?
Will you go to be with the Master or did you walk this valley alone?
Did you seek out our Savior or did you only find faults in life and constantly blame?
Did you accept the good and ask forgiveness for the bad that caused you shame?

Where will you be when your name is set in stone?
Will you leave a void amongst loved ones and friends that you have known?
Will they remember you for kindness and goodness after your final adieu?
Or did you leave a legacy of torment and people are glad that it is through?

Where will you be when your name is set in stone?
Did you spread God's word like good seeds that have to be sewn?
Did you pray for those less fortunate and ask for forgiveness for those that have darkened your days?
That God's love will soothe their hearts and lead them to better ways.

Are you ready to have your name set in stone?
Someday it will happen and it is a walk we must all make alone.
Unless you know Jesus who will light up your path,
And make this transition one filled with love not one full of wrath.

So before your name is set deeply in stone,
Call out to Jesus let Him guide you home, don't try to get there on your own.
As long as you draw breath, salvation can still be had,
And I promise you when that day comes that your name is set in stone you will be glad.
