The Heart Of A Poet

Focusing on Jesus,
With pen in hand.
Words flow freely,
Some do not understand.
How it only took one,
To die on the cross,
For all that was lost.

Sins set free,
What a special place to be.
Sitting at the foot of Jesus,
Writing of his Glory.
And how we can be set free.
Walking by his side,
Without any pride.
Lifting up his hand,
For the entire world to stand.

On the word,
That was written so many years ago.
All the words that flow,
For us to read and know.
A world of lost to show,
How Jesus came and died.
For us to believe without shame,
To spread the news of a
Living Savior for us to proclaim.

If we are more like Jesus,
Always in Gods will.
For if his light shine through us,
Our earthly purpose we will fulfill.
