Bearing Burdens by Deborah Smith Plemmons Christ carried His cross to a hill, Where He bore the sins of mankind. We need to crucify our own will, Bearing our cross and leaving the flesh behind. We should love our neighbor, As we love our own being. Daily at this we should labor, Just to be ready and willing. If we bear burdens of another, We'll fulfill the law of Christ. For Christ bore like no other, When He paid the great price. Every man bears his own burden, Whether his work be good or bad. Sowing and reaping are for certain; Let us reap joy and be glad. |
